The editorial board is composed of the Director of the C\u00e1tedra de Estudos Sefarditas Alberto Benveniste (Center for Sephardic Studies Alberto Benveniste) and three editors, who are responsible for the first selection of the journal content, the definition of its structure and the monitoring of the evaluation process of the submitted papers. The editorial board monitors the entire editorial process, from defining the thematic scope of each issue and scheduling calls for papers to following the evaluation process of the submitted papers, as well as the graphical conception and printing of the journal.<\/p>\n

Maria de F\u00e1tima Reis has a PhD in Early Modern History from the University of Lisbon. She is a associate professor at the Faculdade de Letras (School of Arts and Humanities), and a researcher at the Centro de Hist\u00f3ria. She is director of the C\u00e1tedra de Estudos Sefarditas Alberto Benveniste, and director of the Arts and Humanities, and General Studies courses. She is sub-director of the School of Arts and Humanities of the University of Lisbon. She is Secretary General of the Academia Portuguesa de Hist\u00f3ria (Portuguese Academy of History), fellow of the Academia da Marinha (Navy Academy), corresponding member of the Instituto Hist\u00f3rico e Geogr\u00e1fico Brasileiro (Brazilian Historical and Geographic Institute), member of the Scientific Board of the Joaquim Ver\u00edssimo Serr\u00e3o Research Center, and delegate of the Funda\u00e7\u00e3o para a Ci\u00eancia e Tecnologia (Foundation for Science and Technology) at the International Holocaust Remembrance Alliance. Her research is focused on the history of welfare, charity and medicine, and the social history of Sephardic elites and social networks.<\/p>\n
